Oh, I really don't mind! I know I'm going 'noooooo' all over this entry, but to be honest I'm happiest as a 'shipper when a pairing is lurking just under the surface. I enjoy being frustrated by UST! When characters get together and stay together, I tend to lose interest very quickly. So really I'm not terribly unhappy about the developments at the beginning of series two. I assumed the writers just felt they'd perhaps focused too much on the romance aspect and were trying to pull back from that, and I don't have a problem with that provided Jeff and Annie have the occasional delightfully frustrating spark. And, outside the 'shipping, I still enjoy it as a comedy. But thank you!
