And yes, Lupin is extremely gay. I only became firmly of this opinion when I saw how incredibly reluctant he is to be in any lasting relationship with Tonks. Look, Rowling, if your heterosexual pairing manages to make someone believe that one of the participants is gay, you really have created the least convincing canon pairing ever.
I AGREE WITH THIS SO MUCH. I vaguely liked the idea of Sirius/Lupin beforehand, but never really thought about it all that much; by the end of this book, I was all, "well, Lupin clearly found out the hard way that a lavender marriage is COMPLETELY THE WRONG WAY TO GO". (Mpfh, I miss him.)
Also: capitals letters after colons? What? Is this American grammar that I was totally unaware of, or just a bizarre thing that the US HP books do? Because that's sort of insane.
