The sacrifices! How could I forget the sacrifices?

I'm starting to feel that perhaps the Elrics and the Winchesters should meet up and go on an epic journey together. The only problem is that they'd never become a fully integrated group; they'd always be 'the Elrics' and 'the Winchesters', two separate units that just happen to be travelling together.
