There's this interesting Star Trek: The Next Generations episode where someone totally wipes out the crew's memories and the ships's computers, puts himself on the bridge, and lets everyone try to figure out who they are/what they're doing based on things like where they were when they "came to". So, like, Data thinks he's the bartender because he lost a bet and was making a drink for a friend, and Riker and Rho (who kinda hate each other) think they're a couple, because of some similar plot event that I forgot.

They eventually all get their memories back, and awkwardness ensues.
