I'll be the first to admit that I'm a twisted angst fiend (but you've got to have some crack/fluff because in this fandom/canon, all that angst can kill you) but them not being brothers and maybe not loving each other as much just hurts . It's reminding me of a J2 fic where Supernatural ended because they hated each other so much and that hurt just as much.
