If there isn't a particular name I always give a Pokémon (Bulby the Bulbasaur, Skreeal the Zubat), I tend to name it whatever comes into my head at the time. It makes trying to find a specific Pokémon in the PC a nightmare ('Christoph? Kikuranio? Sophocles? LOOK, I JUST WANT A TENTACOOL'). If I need a Pokémon just to trade for something else, though, I will catch a Pidgey and name it 'David'. (Once, when I was trading some Pokémon back to my brother, he sent me two Davids and a Rattata named 'Ian'. I found this absolutely hilarious for no good reason.)

Legendary dogs! I think Suicune is awesome. I remember seeing the second-generation Pokémon in magazines before the games actually came out, and Suicune struck me as incredibly cool.

Today, I caught a Jigglypuff in Red and named it 'Lucy'.
