I was bewildered when I found out that VIII was unpopular, because I absolutely loved it to bits. Even if I did completely fail to work out the junctioning system on my first playthrough and find myself forced to restart at Adel.

I tend to imagine that most characters have English accents, just because they're what I'm used to, and so it's quite disconcerting when along comes Kingdom Hearts and OH, WAIT, ALL OF THE VOICEACTORS ARE AMERICAN. (I really loved the variety of accents in Final Fantasy XII, actually. Actually giving characters different accents depending on the regions from which they come! Amazing!)
