I am from London! There are a few different accents in London; mine (RP, standing for Received Pronunciation) betrays the fact that I am middle-class and privately educated. It also, according to my English Language seminars, makes people assume that I am competent and intelligent, but unfriendly and untrustworthy. Hooray!
