I don't really find it a strict ratio though? Maybe because I already gravitated to writing (if not necessarily reading fic about, but that's my own issues) about women as well as men. These days, I feel uncomfortable if I have an idea that is two white dudes, more so if there are other characters in their canon that are often ignored by the rest of the fandom. (Like my friend wrote a fic about a younger white woman/an older black woman in a fandom you don't know, and BNFs on twitter actually wondered why she bothered writing that pairing- who would want to see the older black woman in a sexual situation?)
