I thought similar about Celes, especially as... well, isn't she supposed to be a General or something? (I've not played FF6 for a while, facts are a bit fuzzy.) How can she be 18?
...Then I remember that in FF games the men in such roles always seem to be pretty young, too, so it's not totally unbelievable.
But with the older FF games (up to 7, really), ages were much less apparent with the sprites, meaning people often do a look more believable age...
