I sometimes wonder whether I should have taken a pure English Language degree, rather than Language and Literature, because I enjoyed the language aspect more and I was much better at it. Still, I suppose having the balance between the sciencey and arty subject helped to keep me from going entirely mad. I hope you have the opportunity to take more linguisticky (well, it should be a word) options!
