He Believes Your Bathtub To Be Prime Real Estate!

Do you guys remember Man-Spider: the spider with the powers of a man? I've drawn a few more of his rather mundane adventures since then, if you'd like to see them. (He also now has a nemesis!)

Still on the lined paper of my diary, I'm afraid. It's become a tradition now: I doodle an adventure on a napkin when I'm out with my friends, and then I have to copy it down into my diary before [livejournal.com profile] reipan inevitably steals the napkin. (She was a little too quick with her theft last time, which is why you're not seeing The Victorian Adventures of Man-Spider here.)

Scanned this one in slightly askew, whoops.

No longer as seasonal as it was when I drew it, but:

Are you hanging up your web threads on the wall? It's the time when every spider has a ball. The present under their pine... whatever it is (what do you call it? It's larger than a needle but smaller than a branch. One of the offshoots that holds needles, because obviously spiders using a full-sized pine tree to celebrate Christmas would be ridiculous (EDIT: the word is 'sprig'! thank you, [livejournal.com profile] squeemu!)) is meant to be a wrapped-up fly, but you can't really tell.

Who amongst us can honestly say we wouldn't become evil under these circumstances? Really, now.

I am fully expecting a call from Marvel within the next few days.

I'm totally in love with Spider-Spider. You poor thing, I think you're cool!

I <3 your use of the semicolon in a comic. Also, the token attempt to wrie a novel. Also, the whole thing.

Spider-Spider is ENDEARING as is the idea that spiders actually have dinner parties.

Man Spider, Man Spider,
Does whatever a man can
Spins a pizza, any size,
Catches flies just like thieves
Look Out!
Here comes the Man Spider

I want to hug Spider Spider but I don't like real life spiders, I don't mind cartoon spiders but he's still a spider. This is getting complicated...maybe if I hug a plushie and then give it to him,my hug will still be printed in the plushie so that means I'll technically give him a hug ! Problem solved.

I think Spiderman became Man-Spider once. Perhaps Marvel sent someone into the future to take your idea?

Theirs was probably less charming, though.

Hee! So adorable, oh my goodness. Spider-Spider! Man-Spider's children not being fooled by his festive ways! I think my favorite is traveling to work. It's the awkward silence that makes it. <3

Also, perhaps "sprig" is the word you're looking for?

This is so cute, haha. I love Spider-Spider in particular, and the novel-writing attempt!

Hi, I occasionally read old things on other people's journals, and I'm glad I did, because more Man-Spider! And Spider-Spider! This is utterly lovely and has me extremely pleased.

(I was once bitten on the eyelid by a non-radioactive spider. Instead of superpowers, I received antibiotics.)
