Thank you! I have a new respect for Moffat now, because wrestling all the plotholes into submission when you're working with time travel is a bit of a nightmare.

MY OPINION IS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE BEST IDEAS I'VE EVER HEARD. Somebody write this immediately! He would make an amazing Time Lord (he and the Doctor share quite a few characteristics: they're very clever and very aware of it, they prefer not to use guns, they're inquisitive, they're enlivened by disaster), and the team would make such great companions.
