Anyway, in the game you have a pet that follows you around and fights with you, and you can also summon other things to fight for you as well. There are also rooms that seem to comprise entirely of ten or twelve monsters and piles upon piles of gold and other shiny things. I have been known to enter these rooms, summon a bunch of monsters, and then let them do all the fighting while I run around grabbing everything I can get my pixellated hands on.
