Thank you! I am so glad that I have somebody to share these with, to be honest, because what this basically is is a spontaneous overflow of headcanon. I mean, I can't imagine Elena waiting for Nate to get his act together long enough to propose. She could be waiting forever.

(it's also headcanon that trouble follows Nathan like a bad smell, and he just can't seem to have a normal date like everyone else. It's got to be jungles and drug lords)
