We're The Sheep Of Gran Pulse.

ATTENTION ALL:

[livejournal.com profile] ruuger is holding a friendship-focused comment ficathon for Valentine's Day! I think this is an excellent idea and encourage you all to write and prompt.

And now for more Final Fantasy XIII-2 rambling!

I started to read Noel as having a bit of a one-sided crush on Serah when he got pissed off about Snow running off and leaving her. Too late did I realise he was probably thinking about Yeul; the idea had already been planted.

(Having played a bit more, though, I find that the idea seems to have become unplanted, because the glimpses we're getting of the Noel-Yeul relationship actually seem really cute.)

I like all the snippets of information and backstory from the fragments you collect, but I think my very favourite has to be the Woolly Stone fragment, which contains a poem about how hard it is to be a sheep. There just aren't enough videogame poems from an ovine perspective, I feel. (The sheep in the XIII-verse are completely adorable. I was quite distressed when I came across one that appeared to be dead on the Archylte Steppe. Whenever monsters spawned near the sheep, I went after them straight away; I didn't know whether they would actually harm the sheep if left to their own devices, but I didn't want to give them the chance.)

In Academia, when you're fighting the newly-turned Cie'th, they try to use Remedies on themselves, even though they're not afflicted with any status ailments. Are they self-aware to some degree? Are they on some level trying to cure their Cie'thhood? Because that's - that's absolutely horrific.

Chocolina says she's not human. Is that true? I suppose it would explain how she manages to be in every place and every time we visit. Or is she just under the impression that she is, in fact, a chocobo?

...hang on. Hang on. Do you think Chocolina was designed specifically for the purpose of trolling people who complained about the shop system in Final Fantasy XIII? 'Oh, you think buying items from electronic suppliers is too impersonal, do you? We are going to give you a shopkeeper you will never forget.'

Please do prompt friendship-fic! (And link to the entry yourself, if you'd like.) I'm hovering around there at the moment, hoping that something wakes up my writing drive.
