I don't even know how I can write a comment that will successfully convey my gratitude.
Because this is stunning. This is amazing and touching and sad and sweet and everything all at once and it is GOOD. This is everything that I maybe kind of always wanted. This is how I wish that I could write.
The characterization is flawless. You had all their little details down pat and made sure that everyone had a chance to appear, from Yamada making a reference to Celes as well. Every single person got to play a part in the fic, like you had Kuwata use his baseball skills to throw the Monobear (I seriously wanted to cry at that part, I was just so touched that you kept everyone relevant). It really showed how much richer the story could be with all of them together. I really feel like you understood the value in all of the characters.
I also love how Naegi actually had to work to save all of them, and how it took him multiple tries to save Ikusaba...I truly commend you on how much time and effort you put into this (or maybe you just bang out pages and pages of perfection naturally).
(The only suggestion I would give is that honorifics only be used during speech. It started to get really tedious and strange to see "Asahina-SAN said", "Oowada-KUN replied". Japanese honorifics are used when addressing someone, but...we don't go around thinking of our friends in our heads as "Ms. Jane", right? So I would suggest not using honorifics when not in dialogue, that's all.)
But thank you so much for writing this fic. It is definitely one of my all-time favorites to have read, and I'll treasure it for a long time. :) I'm just so happy and grateful to you for writing this and it's brilliant! Thank you!
