ANYWAY it always amuses me to watch people try to wait for Ellie or the other followers, because seriously, they're a-comin', don't worry. But I probably would have done so myself, so.
EVERYTHING YOU SAY ABOUT THE GAME IS TRUE. Every let's player I have seen is invariably impressed with how much they love Ellie, and before the game came out there was some concern that having an AI partner follow you around everywhere in a stealth game would be difficult, but not only did the game mechanics allow for that, the AI partner is literally the best. Naughty Dog did a ridiculously good job with everything, but especially her.
You're in the university? Post-Pittsburgh? Ohhhhh I can't say anything BUT YOU SHOULD GET TO THE END OF THAT IT IS GREAT. The let's players I have watched all screamed. And then you will really really want to play more, so maybe don't get to the end until you have a lot of time.
