I'd assumed that, as a maenad, she'd just rejected men in general - her father is male, therefore she wants nothing to do with him - but admittedly it's been a while since I last read The Bacchae and my memory of it isn't very clear. It's entirely possible that maenads didn't necessarily reject all men and I'm just misremembering.
