Ah, English. The baffling hoarder of the language family.

(I'm trying to think of English words derived from non-European languages that abbreviate. The only one I have is opossum/possum, which comes from the Powhatan language. (An example that went the other way was turning the Hawaiian word "wiki" into a prefix.)

There is so much Supernatural! It's intimidating!

I loved "What Is and What Should Never Be!" I remember that one!
