I'm delighted that Daniel's inventory is just a bunch of pine cones.
Aw, that's really cute!
I almost didn't intervene to save the cougar, because I was afraid it would attack us. I'm glad I did in the end. Daniel's traumatised enough as it is; we don't need to pile 'telekinetically killed a cougar' on top of that.
Yeah, that would be seriously traumatic, and also a weirdly specific "No one else knows what it's like" trauma.
I promised I wouldn't lie to Daniel, and this is the hardest thing to be honest about there is. If I can get past this honesty hurdle, I can probably be sure I'll keep my promise. And it might mean Daniel has more faith in my honesty as well, even if it won't be an easy thing for him to hear.
Wow, this game sounds like they get you incredibly invested in the decisions.
Chris lives with an abusive father; how can we help him?
Okay, based on the title The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit and you referring to Chris's father as "short-tempered", I initially assumed that game was more wacky shenanigans.
I looked it up. ...that is not wacky shenanigans.
(Although, being from Oregon, I was briefly amused by a reference to "Eugene College", which isn't real, but is definitely inspired by a real thing. Arcadia Bay was probably at least partially based off Astoria, and Beaver Creek is at least somewhat inspired by Beavercreek.)
We're not allowed to go out because people might see us and report us to the cops: that makes a kind of sense, even if it's rough. But we're also not allowed Internet access or phones, and that concerns me a little.

Yeah, that gives off a vibe of evil.
