Dr Doofenshmirtz and Perry the Platypus: An Unbiased Examination of the Facts.
Welcome to my lecture about Phineas and Ferb's evil scientist Heinz Doofenshmirtz and his nemesis, secret agent Perry the Platypus, also known as Agent P. Today I will present the facts about their relationship without comment and allow you to draw your own conclusions.
Exhibit A: on 24 May 2013, the Disney Channel aired a music video in which Dr Doofenshmirtz is apparently singing Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' to Perry the Platypus.
Exhibit B: Dr Doofenshmirtz wears Perry the Platypus underwear.
Exhibit C: when Dr Doofenshmirtz finds a new nemesis, Perry the Platypus is devastated, and there's a sad song from Perry's perspective about their 'breakup'.
Exhibit D: the same plotline also has a song from Dr Doofenshmirtz, reminiscing fondly about his rivalry with Perry the Platypus.
Exhibit E: as shown in Exhibit D, Dr Doofenshmirtz describes the day on which he realised he had a nemesis as 'the happiest day of his life'.
Exhibit F: what is even going on here
Exhibit G: Dr Doofenshmirtz once pitched a television series called Doof 'n' Puss to a television executive, in which he and Perry the Platypus would work together. When the executive asked whether they could give the platypus a girlfriend, Doofenshmirtz exclaimed, 'No! Never!' and stalked out in disgust.
Exhibit H: below we see that, when Dr Doofenshmirtz was injured and hospitalised, his nemesis gave him flowers and drew a heart on the note.
Exhibit I: on 10 November 2012, YouTube user twixremix posted '♡parachutes and ladders♡', a 'Perryshmirtz' fanvid. Dan Povenmire, co-creator of Phineas and Ferb and voice of Dr Doofenshmirtz, left the comment 'So good!'
