I definitely recall episodes where Ash and co stayed at Pokemon centers when one was available, so there’s a precedent there. In my Pokemon writing, I always treat them as a service provided by the League, so anyone with a League pass (and anyone traveling with them) gets free accommodation with any of the services they provide, including overnight stay.
