Hilariously, I got into Digimon through hatewatching it as a kid because it wasn't Pokemon (because I had to gather evidence of how it was inferior to Pokemon, clearly!)--only to discover, to my horror, oh no, I actually really like this. Ken's arc played an enormous part in shaping my fictional preferences.
