If you mean NEO: The World Ends with You, it's probably best not to play it without having played the original (which is a great game!).
If you mean Persona 5, though, dive in! I was hesitant because I'd never played any Persona games and they sounded long and complicated, but it turned out to be one of the best impulsive videogame purchases I've ever made. It's got its flaws, but I had a fantastic time. I recommend playing on easy mode if you're not into games for a huge challenge, though.
Also, I don't know if you mean the original Persona 5 or the expanded Persona 5 Royal. Either version is a worthwhile play (I got the original because it was cheap and enjoyed it so much I picked up Royal later), but Royal has some particular requirements for unlocking the extra content, so let me know if you'd like advice on that.
