I haven't read this because I have neither watched nor read Death Note, but I just want to say – and I mean this in all sincerity and affection – that sometimes, I come across a fic summary and it seems to be simultaneously a perfect encapsulation of a character and a perfectly-tuned example of the author living their absolute idiosyncratic joy, and it brings me delight.
