Thank you so much! I was slightly alarmed by the prospect of writing a soulmate AU when I know basically nothing about soulmate AUs ('what does being a soulmate mean?' I asked myself desperately while writing this), but I had to give it a try; I was fascinated by the thought of how Light and L would just use a soul bond as another tool for destroying each other.
