Although I can see Edgar, Sabin, and Setzer getting into stupid misadventures together.
God, they really would. Then they all head back to the airship to make out with Strago.
Your Cid/Vincent shrine was, I have to admit, the reason I went with a Cloud-Cid-Vincent party the first time I played VII.
Squall and Zell obviously click
yesssss, glad to have your support. It's always been weird to me that Squall/Zell isn't a bigger pairing! It definitely has a following, but that following's always been on the small side.
Just checked, and Squall/Zell doesn't even make the list of the ten most-written pairings in AO3's Final Fantasy VIII section! (Somehow two of the pairings in the top ten manage to be Cloud/Squall. One of them is Cloud/Tifa. I can't believe Cloud/Tifa is a bigger Final Fantasy VIII pairing than Squall/Zell.)
although them all pestering Amarant could be fun
Now that you mention it, while I've never really contemplated shipping Amarant before, I do enjoy the thought that Amarant would be slightly annoyed to end up in any sort of relationship.
