Despite my massive, uncharacteristic crush on Karen Gillan, I stopped watching somewhere in Matt Smith's run. I couldn't even tell you why, I just stopped. But I saw that the special dropped on Disney Plus I was rather tempted. (I do wish the streaming revolution had happened years ago—I do not miss the $100 I would drop every year to buy the imported DVD boxsets from HMV when I was in high school.)

I think the last Christmas special I watched had John Simm's Master become a cannibal, and that... required even more suspension of disbelief than usual.
