I'm fascinated by the sheer quantity of horses in Iceland! Apparently there's about one horse for every four people. That's so many! There are more sheep than humans, but I can understand that more easily, given that they're raised for wool and cheese and meat; horse is eaten in Iceland, apparently, but not in large quantities.

They are pretty, though! It was nice to see them everywhere we went.
