Part of the reason I got so attached to this game, especially the main character, has to do with moments like this. The game truly utilizes it’s medium in a way that needs to be appreciated and studied. It takes things standard to video games and makes it part of its storytelling (even with how much I’ve analyzed it in text already, there’s still so many more things I want to write essays about). I always felt like whatever I felt was how my character was feeling. It forced me into understanding him, his struggles, his every thought and feeling, it’s just… hard for me to walk away from that.
