rionaleonhart: final fantasy viii: found a draw point! no one can draw... (you're a terrible artist)

I love that your list is 9 things, wait I have to add another but it's cheating, and an honourable mention. The honourable mention could just have been number 10, Riona!

It did feel a bit silly! But I really can't say The Quarry made a big impact on me as a canon, even if I went slightly wild about this specific pairing.

The issue with me doing this is I often don't realise exactly when I've experienced a media - I guess it's somewhat easier with the journal.

Yeah, I ended up with nine canons on the list instead of ten because I originally included Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and then went 'WAIT A SECOND: I was writing fanfiction for that in 2018!'

Trails in the Sky - Estelle is probably my favourite female protagonist ever

This is intriguing! If you're planning to play the Trails in the Sky remake that's expected to come out later this year, let me know how you find it; I'm starting to wonder if I should check it out.

The way your experience of media can change over time really is fascinating! It was so strange to come back to Final Fantasy VIII when I was older than the main characters, having first played it when I was four years younger than Squall. And, yes, some things definitely feel very different after 2020!

In fairness to Tifa, maybe she's just following Barret's example; he does love to go 'GOOD JOB, GUYS, WE DID A GREAT TERRORISM' in public.

I also often find myself craving a text log! Really felt its absence in The Coffin of Andy and Leyley; it feels so strange not to have one in a game that's largely presented in visual novel style. I'll be interested to hear how you find Final Fantasy XVI; it's a game I have mixed feelings about.
