That's why my brain keeps trying to do Dean/Gene! Because Sam and Sam would be all chattering away, getting homesick for their laptops, and complaining about the downsides of fighting crime/demons with macho skirt-chasers who wouldn't talk about their problems if they were bleeding from the eyes. Dean and Gene would totally roll their eyes, go off for a beer, and talk about manly things like guns, hitting things, and their incredibly intense love for their cars.

And part of my brain is insisting that this would somehow lead to sex.
