They can't stop hunting, because there's nothing else I can ever see them doing, and they can't die because I am sure the writers don't want to make me sad (right? ...right? 'Mystery Spot' and 'Heart' and 'Faith' and 'In My Time of Dying' and 'What Is and What Can Never Be' and half the other episodes were accidents, right?), so at the end they can sever their family's weird demonic connections and carry on as regular hunters.
