Basically, it bothered me that all I seemed to be doing in fic was correcting what I didn't like about canon. It's kind of a negative approach, and much less fun than building on what I like. And now I'm doing it again.
Haven't seen the new series. Don't dare. I loved the first half of S3, and got my expectations and hopes so completely shot down by the second half that I don't want to get invested again.
Plus (no offense) I'm increasingly tired of Rose, have lost my enthusiasm for Martha, and am wary of getting invested in Donna, given the show's track record of taking away the things I most like about...pretty much every companion but Mickey.
