Cakes On A Plane.

Yeah, so my 'wait until the third season of Prison Break goes down to a more reasonable price before buying it' plan wasn't entirely, er, carried out. By which I mean that I seized upon the first excuse my brother gave me to purchase it. WHAT'S THAT, JOSEPH? YOU'VE SORTED OUT YOUR UNIVERSITY APPLICATION? WELL OBVIOUSLY I MUST BUY THE PRISON BREAK BOXSET AS YOUR REWARD. YES. HEY, I'M JUST BEING A GOOD SISTER.

Somehow, in the month since I finished watching the second season, my affection for Mahone appears to have quadrupled. Seriously, I caught sight of him and my immediate reaction was 'yay! Mahone!', and then Scofield said that all he could see was the man who killed his father and I thought '...oh, yes, he did do that, didn't he?' Prison Break has a remarkable way of having a character kill or torture a bunch of characters you like, then turning around and making you love him. That also goes for Bellick; I never thought I'd forgive him after 'The Old Head', but I spent most of this episode feeling sorry for him, and when he appeared to have found a friend I was genuinely pleased.

AND THEN HIS FRIEND GOT SHOT TO DEATH

BECAUSE PRISON BREAK HATES EVERYONE.

Notes!

- I love Scofield, and I love Sara, but I'm just not feeling the romance between them. At all. I like that they care about each other, and I like seeing them interact, and they have some really cute moments, and I want to 'ship them, but I really can't think of them as anything other than friends. Scofield and Mahone, on the other hand, have sexual tension that blazes and crackles and pretty much sets the air around them on fire whenever they so much as look at each other. I spend every scene they have together expecting them to start making out in the next second. I do not remember thinking this during the second season; perhaps it is new? Perhaps it's just that they didn't spend the second season confined in close quarters.

- Honestly, Sara, getting kidnapped? And I was hoping you and Lincoln would team up to be awesome and kick down the prison door and maybe have a guilty kiss in a moment of weakness. Tsk.

- Dear Prison Break writers: WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO SUCRE? YOU LEFT HIM BLEEDING IN THE ROAD, YOU BASTARDS, AND THEN YOU DON'T EVEN MENTION HIM? I HATE YOU ALL.

A reminder: despite being a year behind everyone else, I have managed to avoid spoilers and have absolutely no idea what the future of Prison Break holds. Please do not tell me anything that happens after 'Orientación', no matter how minor. Thank you!

(I am also a gigantic freak about Supernatural spoilers, so if you could tread carefully there as well I'd be very grateful.)

(Why don't I gleefully cross Prison Break over with anything and everything in my rambling entries about it? I do it with all of my other fandoms.)
