I always fall behind on House, and I'm always a little surprised when I start watching it again and remember how much I love it. YOU LOVE EVERY MAJOR CHARACTER, RIONA. YOU EVEN LOVE QUITE A FEW NON-MAJOR CHARACTERS (I have to confess to exclaiming 'I'll go out with you, Creepy PI!' at the screen during 'Adverse Events'). AS YOU 'SHIP BASICALLY EVERYONE WITH EVERYONE ELSE, THE SLIGHTEST AMOUNT OF SUBTEXT ANYWHERE IS PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU HAPPY. HOW HAVE YOU NOT REALISED HOW MUCH YOU LIKE HOUSE?

(Why did I never get into House fanfiction? I do not understand.)

Cameron is beginning to feel like Cameron again! Which pleases me, because I was so upset by what the writers did to her character in the third season. First House character I ever fell in love with, bless her, and when I learnt of her unpopularity I was terribly confused. The wonderful female characters are a good part of the reason I adore House so much. Stacy didn't impress me, I have to admit, but Cameron, Cuddy, Thirteen? Yes.

Here is a House-related poll, because I am curious. The mini-fic question is optional, of course, but I'd suggest giving it a try, because mini-fics are a lot of fun. The box can hold up to 255 characters.

I agree, it is weird that they haven't updated it.

Heh, I felt that I was betraying Cameron when I picked Chase. I am sorry, Cameron, but the third season means that my love for Chase is more consistent. (I love Foreman enormously as well (I sort of want to marry him whenever I watch 'Fools for Love'), but Cameron and Chase just manage to beat him.)

I can totally see Kutner treating mistletoe tradition as law, and it is adorable.

Kutner would probably hang around for a chance to kiss House unexpectedly.

Yeah, I may not have chosen my favorite fellows, just the ones I think it would be funniest to have a fist-fight.

But yes, the show's creators really need to get off their lazy butts and make a new credit sequence.

I'M SORRY. Well, TBH, House has not been my favorite show for a while now. It's been so formulaic, it all just blends together for me. So, umm, I guess Chase has been pretty cool lately.

I have been informed that Kutner is played by Kal Penn, who is awesome, and has wacky defibrillator adventures where people catch fire. Which makes me wish I'd done "Kutner meets Jeremy Clarkson" instead. Although that might involve letting Jeremy Clarkson near a defibrillator, which would not go well.

Oddly enough, the new fellows are not on the front cover of the season 4 boxset either; they are stuck on the back with tiny photos. That said, the original ducklings are far prettier to look at, so maybe they're being vain? It is Hollywood, after all.

I noticed that! I thought it might have been to preserve the 'who is House going to pick?' mystery for those who hadn't yet seen the season, but in that case why have their pictures on the box at all?

Ah! I hadn't thought of that! :) But as you say, it's silly putting them on there at all in that case. Maybe they're easing us in gently to the new people?!

Okay, I have stopped choking now.

Kutner had only used the defibrillator on the zombie because he wasn't sure what else to do and Chase looked about five seconds away from being eaten. Later, he figured he probably should have been expecting the zombie to burst into flames, fall down the stairs, and impale itself on the department's Christmas tree, but it came as a bit of a surprise at the time.

"That was fun," Kutner said, after a thoughtful kind of 'watching a zombie spasm on a Christmas tree' pause. "We should do it again sometime."

Chase didn't reply, too busy staring in horror at the zombie bits all over his hands.

"Perhaps over coffee," Kutner added. There was something strangely romantic about the way the zombie's smoldering flesh had set the tinsel alight.

Kutner, you do not want to kill zombies over coffee. That's not going to do anything good for the coffee.

I LOVE Cameron and Thirteen so much. I don't get why people hate Cameron so much. She's so amazingly excellent, and beyond my favorite character in the show.

I just don't like her with Chase. He's so...dull, and uninteresting. I also hate the "guy likes a girl, so she MUST like him back, so that males can feel comforted while watching the show" -- I liked that when he was like "I love you!" she was like "...but I just loved your penis :( Sigh."

I don't know WHY they decided to put them together at the end of the third season. Overall I liked S3 -- I liked Cameron turning into a moral version of House. She's cunning, and manipulative, and unshakeable, but uses those qualities to do what she believes is right. Adore!

They just need to have her leave Chase's boring ass. ~~And then shack up with House~~.

Eh, I find Wilson pretty boring, as a character. Though he was a LOT more interesting when he was with Amber -- as dramatic and powerful as the end of S4 was, I wish they'd kept her alive :( She made Wilson into an interesting person.

The individual fellows old and new are love, but I have a hard time shipping them. (With the possible exception of Taub/Kutner, because omgcute.) House/Wilson on the other hand...

I never really entered the fandom at all, though, so I didn't have a chance to be driven mad by any vicious 'shipwars. Hmmm.

I am very much a House/everyone person, and I love Cameron/Foreman, and I like Chase/Cameron, and I wouldn't say no to Chase/Foreman, and I think Wilson/Cameron would be freaking adorable, but I'm not quite so wildly 'shipping all over the place when it comes to the new fellows, although I like them enormously. I could definitely be tempted by Cameron/Thirteen, though. Or Cuddy/Thirteen. Maybe Chase/Thirteen? Oh, all right, Thirteen/everyone. And, now that you mention it, Taub/Kutner would be cute.

RIONA. When you make polls I feel compelled to answer them, and then I write stuff like I did here. Bad stuff. Because I only watch House sometimes (mostly when my now-former roommate turns it on), so my characterization is probably off yes even though it's like eight sentences and I've barely seen any of the newer seasons, but... I kind of don't even like most of the characters who aren't House. They're boring. Wilson is maybe okay because his eyebrows amuse me and his voice gets all whiny sometimes, which is funny, but Cameron, Cuddy, Foreman, and Chase were boring. I honestly only chose Chase because I think he's the prettiest of the three.

And I chose Kutner because I adore Kal Penn.

I've watched two episodes ever. Three Stories, which was quite good, and something to do with some autistic kid (which I liked for the whole "Does being weird and difficult to get along with mean he has Aspergers? No! That just means he's weird and difficult to get along with!") I should watch more, since it has Kal Penn.

You should watch more! It has Kal Penn, and also Thirteen, who is gorgeous and wonderful and I love her. Also, I don't know if this will tempt you, but sometimes she snogs women, and it is hot.

I was actually pretty impressed by your characterisation in those few sentences! Kutner's 'oh, no, does House hate me?' is adorable, and definitely plausible.
