I....
Actually, that makes sense in a way- they're killing everybody off, either as a way to get an ~all new cast~ or finding an excuse for Jack to rejoin the TARDIS crew without being all "BAW, I don't want to leave all my fwends!"
(Note: Mocking is how I deal with grief.)
