And Also Some Other Things Happened.
YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME CRY, TORCHWOOD
YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE RUBBISH
I'M SUPPOSED TO MOCK YOU
I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE ANY ACTUAL EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT
ajghjgdahfjafhgh why why why would you do this to me
On the one hand, I am sort of glad that, if Ianto had to die (and, er, it really doesn't look as if Torchwood has a future, does it?), it was after Torchwood became good, so I could really care about it. On the other, adjghjadjgjfghh crying.
(Although I was immensely distressed during the actual dying scene, I didn't actually start sobbing until Gwen was looking at his body and Jack put his arm around her and I can't even be coherent right now. Torchwood, you absolute bastard of a show, you clearly became good just so you could get me emotionally invested and then hit me with that.)
OH, AND TORCHWOOD WERE BEING SO AWESOME JUST BEFORE, and of course I thought 'well, this all seems to be going a little too smoothly, obviously something is going to go wrong, there's still one episode left', but I wasn't expecting them to freaking kill Ianto. (Possibly also because there was still one episode left.)
I never really 'shipped Jack/Ianto that much. Of course it had to creep up on me now.
Were - were there other things in that episode?
Well, there was confirmation that the 456 is a mutated
The lack of Pokémon crossovers means, of course, that this entry has nothing to distinguish it from the hordes of no doubt identical posts all over your flist right now, but I need to post it anyway.
IANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

YOU KNOW WHAT I DON'T LIKE? KILLING IANTO.
no subject
I DON'T LIKE THIS EITHER. I MAY BREAK UP WITH TORCHWOOD IF HE DOESN'T SOMEHOW COME BACK. I DON'T CARE HOW IMPLAUSIBLE THIS MAY BE. BRING ME IANTO OR... OKAY, 'BRING ME DEATH' IS ENTIRELY INAPPROPRIATE HERE.
edit: Sorry for all the editing. Blimey.

It appears I am a friend to brackets, tonight.

I cannot believe what Torchwood has done over this week. It has risen out of its rubbishness, spread its flaming wings of awesome, and then broken everyone's hearts.
Why do you hate us, Torchwood? I - I know we mocked you, but that's no reason to take Ianto.

HOW MANY CHARACTERS DO THEY HAVE LEFT??
no subject
That's more or less it.
no subject
I predict some Battle Royale-esque scenario in the final episode. And then a Ozymandias drops a giant squid on the Hub JUST TO FINISH THE SURVIVOR OFF.

Damn; on the one hand, I am glad that the series I first decided to watch Torchwood was the one in which it actually became good, but on the other, DON'T KILL IANTO. Not on.
no subject
I am actually a bit frustrated by Torchwood's goodness this series. Obviously I don't dislike it, but if you were capable of such brilliance, writers, where was it for the past two years?

I feel very silly indeed now.
And by 'very silly indeed' I mean 'immensely woeful'.

...ASKSFSETGMREOIBGMF HOW WHY IS IANTO NO WHY IANTO NOOOOOOO
In other news, at time of posting "Ianto" was the third trending topic on Twitter, above the Iran election and Micheal Jackson. WELL DONE, TORCHWOOD: YOU BROKE THE INTERNET.

COME BACK, IANTO.

They blew up the hub? What about Myfanwy? D:
(Also, Ianto? No! I mean, I was never that attached to Ianto, but that didn't mean I wanted him to die!)
no subject
Soyes.

Regarding Myfanwy: we haven't heard anything. I do hope she's all right. I'd trade her for Ianto, though.
no subject
Oh, I do hope Myfanwy's all right! I am considering a Star Trek/Torchwood/Doctor Who/Twilight Zone/Lord of the Rings crossover and she is rather important. (Of course, so were Ianto and Tosh and Owen... er... right. May have to rethink this a bit.)

(I wants to read this: it sounds like pure crack.)

The only part I remember is where Mr. Serling appears on the TARDIS to warn the Doctor that he's entering the ~Twilight Zone~. Rod Serling=Time Lord. The door in the opening is in fact the door to his TARDIS.
Also, because of the space break, the above comment looks like it says Twilight is involved with this crossover. I may have to find a way for it to mock Twilight now. ("You're from the Twilight Zone? Is it filled with ~vampires~?")

Actually, that makes sense in a way- they're killing everybody off, either as a way to get an ~all new cast~ or finding an excuse for Jack to rejoin the TARDIS crew without being all "BAW, I don't want to leave all my fwends!"
(Note: Mocking is how I deal with grief.)

...Fuck. Fuck.
This is what I get for being a spoiler whore, isn't it? "You won't be able to watch the show for a month!" says I. "Can't hurt to see whether Torchwood is any good before watching!" says I.
...argh. *shoots self in head*
He comes back in the final episode, right? Jack magically fixes his vortex manipulator and goes back in time to save Ianto and rips the fabric of spacetime doing it whereupon the Doctor shows up and saves EVERYONE and no one dies and it's all sunshine and puppies right? RIGHT?
no subject
Well, obviously that is what is going to happen in the final episode. No need to be concerned at all.
