My thoughts on Episode 50 can be summed up neatly as follows:
Ed: *dies*

Riona: I find the ending of FMA to be INCREDIBLY DISTRESSING.
Eva: *hugs* I know. It's so Japanese. They love to leave you hanging like that.
Eva: At least FMA has a movie, which is more than other animes can say.
Riona: Is the movie set after it? ARE ED AND AL REUNITED THEY HAVE TO BE REUNITED THEY ARE ED AND AL I WILL DIE IF THEY STAY APART.
Eva: The movie is awesome, if rather different from the anime in certain aspects.
Riona: ...why am I trembling? What has this anime done to me? ...what aspects? *looks suspicious*
Eva: Mostly the atmosphere/location, kinda.
Eva: It's not as colorful, I guess is how I'd put it. The world is much... browner. Maybe I'm just a sucker for color. XD
Riona: Is it set in our world, then? The colours seemed more muted there. WHAT WAS THAT PEOPLE WHO DIE GO TO LONDON THING? SERIOUSLY, FMA, WHAT THE HELL.
Eva: (and FMA totally did the same thing to me, yo. It makes me grin and cry and tremble and just generally go crazy)
Eva: XDDD ANIME TWISTS. Always, man. They're crazy.
Eva: Actually, I think it's a Square thing. They always have totally whack twists near the end of their games.
Riona: Good point. HEY LET'S MAKE THE LAST DUNGEON THE INSIDE OF A FLYING WHALE.
Riona: Also, Roy didn't die! This amazes me. I was sure that he was dead.
Riona: I began to think 'maybe FMA doesn't hate me after all'.
Riona: AND THEN ED AND AL WERE TORN APART.

Eva: ...HumanAl is REALLY cute, though. I mean, wow. He's like, sexy and cute at the same time. Very molestable. Damn Elrics and their sexiness and molestability.

Eva: I thought they showed him a bit at the end of the series. With his long hair?
Riona: No, he's gone back to being a ten-year-old.
Riona: ALSO IT BOTHERS ME THAT AL HAS NO MEMORY OF THEIR WACKY EVERYONE-DYING ADVENTURES.

Riona: For some reason, Ed saying that he doesn't trust Einstein makes me giggle.

Eva: I'm sure you're familiar with German history in the 1920s, yeah? Not extensively, but generally?
Riona: The Great Inflation? The rise of National Socialism? Also the fact that Ed was there, being awesome? Why wasn't that mentioned in the history books?
Eva: I know. I watched the movie, like, WHILE we were studying the details of this, and I was SO tempted to explain exactly why Hitler failed to come to power in FMA terms on my test.
Riona: ...I totally have to see this movie.

I mean, it's not Roy/Ed that's a problem, per se, it's the fact that it would never happen with Al, like, EXISTING. Nothing can get between Ed and Al. Roy/Ed would only work if something tragic happened to Al, and that would be AWFUL.
