I just finished reading the Knife of Never Letting Go! I enjoyed it a lot and OH LORD YES MANCHEE IS DUG. This is exactly what I had in my head too. I haven't gotten around to buying the next in the series yet due to too much irreverent spending recently, but I really want it.
