I was sort of kicking myself at the whole 'keys!' revelation, because in the bar I had thought "OH GOD HE'S HOLDING HIS KEYS THREATENINGLY WHAT IF HE ATTACKS GENE?", but at no point did I think "Hang on, he's holding his keys threateningly and they exactly fit the description of the weapon they're looking for!" Whoops. Clearly I would fail at being a cop in the 1970s. (But if you figured out the keys and I figured out the setup, we could work together! We can be Sam and Gene!)

Well, if I carry on watching at the rate I am I'll probably have finished the series by Thursday. I don't know whether that's a good or a bad thing. On the one hand I can get involved in communities and read fanfiction and discuss things without fear of spoilers, but on the other: aaaah! No more Life on Mars!
