I just said I might be able to give you something for all of these, but the 'safe' option, surprisingly, is giving me trouble! (I've obviously got assorted Silent Hill crossovers lying around, but you specified the second game.) I went into my old fanfiction folders, going 'obviously there's going to be some Silent Hill 2 fic here - yes, here's one', and I opened the file and it was literally five words:

The pocket flashlight flickers and dies. The static from the radio fades slowly into nothing, and somehow the silence is worse.

James brings his hands up to cover his ears and sways a little, back and forth, and wonders if he is going insane.
