Because I'm Hitting That. And It's Totally Hot.

I just watched House episode 305, 'Fools for Love', and I will admit to getting rather emotional at the end. I absolutely want to marry Foreman now.

I agree with what Foreman said: if you're not actually brought up in a familial relationship, blood ties alone mean very little. The concept of Ed and Al having a sexual relationship makes me rather uncomfortable because they are siblings, born and raised as siblings. Mr. Knightley/Emma also makes me uneasy, even though they're not actually related, because their relationship is like that of a father and daughter. Oedipus having sex with his mother doesn't bother me at all. He doesn't know she's his mother; she doesn't know he's his son; there has never been a filial relationship. It disturbs me a little when he, y'know, stabs out his eyes, but for completely different reasons. (I so wanted to tag this entry 'but what are your thoughts on incest?', but that would have been a spoiler.)

The couple in that episode were lovely. Finding out that they were half-siblings didn't affect the way in which I looked at them in the slightest; it just made me feel sorry for them.

And Foreman was so lovely! He wanted to protect them from the revelation and tried to reassure them and awww, Foreman. I love him so much.

On another note, I was very pleased by House obsessing over Wilson's love life, because he obsesses in the same lunatic way over Dr. Cox and JD in the House/Scrubs crossover. It's so nice to see a trait you're sure a character has come out in canon. (The 'MAN, I'M AWESOME' ends here, I promise.)

There wasn't much Cameron in this episode (that's another thing: it's nice to see another character being very sympathetic for once), but she was being rather awesome when she did appear. Hooray for Cameron!

Finally, oh the House/Wilson, and also I started noticing Chase/Foreman in this episode for almost the first time. Am I determined to fall in love with every single pairing possible? It's got to the stage at which it would be quicker to list the pairings I don't support.

Overall, I approve of this episode. I approve of it a lot.
