Chaos;Child is so fucked up and it's very distressing. There's a scene at the very beginning where I ended up cringing on the sofa, pressing myself back against the cushions, trying to physically distance myself as much from the description on the screen as I could.

It's such a tricky balance to strike! I really like Dr Cox, I don't want the reader to think he's entirely despicable, but I also want him to have irresponsible, mocking sex with a subordinate who's slightly in love with him and fifteen years his junior. When I was a teenager I just cheerfully wrote dubcon without worrying about this. It was a simpler time.
