Are You Seriously Crashing My Place?
More notes on Persona 5 Strikers! We're about to leave Okinawa.
Important canonical detail: in the boys' tent in Sendai, Yusuke informs us that 'We were so overheated, we'd nearly stripped naked by morning time.' I'm taking this as protagonist/Ryuji content, although Yusuke and Morgana would have been third-wheeling.
'I've learnt a valuable lesson on this journey: sometimes, you simply need to enjoy being naked.' Yusuke, don't pretend you didn't know that from the start.
Delighted that I had the opportunity to say 'Looking good, Ryuji' as we bathed together. Ryuji's response: 'Aw, thanks. I've really been working these abs... Wait, what?'
The Sapporo storyline is breaking my heart for Haru.
I made miso ramen, and Ryuji asked me if I'd make it for him every morning.
AND FUTABA'S RESPONSE WAS 'ARE YOU PROPOSING TO HIM, RYUJI'
WHY CAN'T I MAKE OUT WITH HIM
I've been neglecting cooking, but, now that I've learnt it gets me little exchanges with my friends, I'm determined to make every dish on the menu.
Once again, I instantly forget about all my other responsibilities when a friend asks me for a personal favour. Forget about saving the people of Sapporo; Ryuji asked me to take him out for a meal.
If I can't invite Ryuji to ride the ferris wheel with me, I'm going to riot.
I can! But, alas, not on his own; Yusuke tags along. It's an improvement on Mishima getting in the way of Ryuji time in the original game, at least.
'So... why are a buncha dudes ridin' the ferris wheel together?' BECAUSE THE GAME WOULDN'T LET ME INVITE YOU ALONE, RYUJI.
'Dude, wouldn'tcha rather do this with someone you're... you know, into?' PUT IT TOGETHER, RYUJI.
'I wonder when I'll meet my soulmate,' Ryuji says, despite the fact I'm right there.
Ryuji asked me to tell him if I got a girlfriend, then went, 'Although, maybe not findin' out right away isn't the worst thing - I mean, I'd be happy for ya, but also kinda lonely, too...'
I loved Zenkichi saying his daughter was 'into some kind of online thing lately - something to do with some show about her... faves...?', and then it turned out that we were her faves and it became even better.
Zenkichi slowly getting attached to us when he knows he's going to have to turn us in!
I'm delighted by the kids turning Zenkichi into a sand sculpture as he sleeps and greeting him when he wakes with 'Voila; you're beautiful.'
Awww, Haru proposes having a trip like this together every summer!
Holy crap, that scene with locals breaking into our camper van was genuinely scary.
The way the Phantom Thieves tease Zenkichi is a lot of fun. I'm enjoying their dynamic with him more than I'd expected to.
I love Ryuji blowing up in Sophia's defence! 'We're Sophie's friends, and we KNOW she's awesome!' Ryuji really admires his friends and will not stand for anyone putting them down.
Ginger came in during the sunset beach scene and, confused by the intense warm colours, asked, 'Is everyone wearing swimming costumes in Hell?'
I want to see so much fanart of all these kids sleeping cuddled up during their roadtrip together. (Although it's apparently very warm, so they might not be feeling that cuddly.)

(Unrelatedly, I've come down with a sore throat, which makes me VERY SUSPICIOUS of your offer to give me Covid for my birthday.)

But I will say that when my Covid kicked in, I went from 0 to 100% - and by that mean, a raging 100F fever kicked in over approximately a half hour and I could barely stay awake for three days after that. So if you don't skyrocket, you're probably okay! That said, I hope you don't get it. ♥ And thank you for the kind sympathies.
