I Haven't Done Anything I Need To Feel Bad About.
More of The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy! I've finished the Coming-of-Age: Bittersweet Youth route, and I'm currently on day thirty-five of a route that, uh. Well, a route that involves a lot of use of the word 'pheromones'.
Takumi going 'oh, Eito, I'm so glad we fixed your personality defects by brainwashing you so the two of us can watch fireworks together' is deeply unsettling.
I can't believe the guy who hates us and wants us dead would betray us! Again!! Who could have predicted this???
I hope every route ends with Eito betraying us and Takumi being shocked and appalled. Surely he won't betray us a seventh time.
Tem: You know what you say: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me four times, shame on you! For taking advantage of my trusting nature!
I can't believe Eito was being insincere all the times he said 'love and peace'! (It's pretty funny to think that he kept saying 'love and peace!' as an intentional ploy so we'd trust him.)
I fully expected my 'don't sacrifice Nozomi' choice to lead to a swift bad ending, and I'm cracking up at the result I got instead: Takumi confesses his love, Nozomi blushes furiously, all our friends cheer us on, and meanwhile Eito seethes in the background, going 'DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME WHEN I'M TRYING TO KILL YOU.'
And then we all held hands and defeated our evil boyfriend with the power of friendship. Beautiful.
I'm interested in the 'sacrifice Nozomi' choice, but I don't want to replay the fights leading up to it right now; I'll come back to that later. On to the route where we reveal Nozomi's secret at the first opportunity!
This route involves a 'who will you sacrifice?' choice. I'd probably have chosen Kyoshika, because I like the other two more and I'm really not a fan of her English voice acting, but
futuresoon has said I might enjoy the 'sacrifice Takemaru' route, so I'll go for that. Sorry, Takemaru; you're one of my favourites!
Yugamu: You should take these pills that make your pheromones irresistible to everyone! For the sake of, uh, team unity.
Takumi: Well, if it's for team unity!
Takumi: oh my God why is everyone so into me all of a sudden
Yeah, okay, I can see why I've been recommended this route. I usually end up shipping the protagonist with everyone else in Danganronpa-esque games, and this game has truly embraced that in the stupidest way possible.
Oh, God, I forgot we were fighting a war! I was so distracted by the potential for stupid ships, and then the invader alarm went off and took me completely by surprise.
After Tsubasa enters Takumi's bedroom, clasps his hand and spends a while telling him how into him she is:
Takumi: (blushing furiously) Being so overwhelmed with affection with so little distance between us had me questioning my morals...
Tem: Takumi, get a hold of yourself. (pause) I mean, not like that.
I shrieked with laughter and dropped my phone.
After Takumi spends the night cuddling with Kurara:
Tem: I was not expecting the pheromone route to be this long. I thought it would just be a joke route.
Riona: They've put so much effort in.
Tem: They've put so much effort into the route where we fuck all our friends.
Riona: As they should. The most important route in any game about fighting a war.
Kurara: Don't you dare just sit in your rooms and jack off!
Takumi: Who would even do that?
What are you talking about, Takumi? You're all a bunch of teenage perverts. One member of the team canonically fucks her own sword on a regular basis.
There's some very striking dialogue in this game. I made this note during a scene that included the lines 'Stop trying to look all cool, you dickless virgin!' and 'I'll shove my hand so far up her ass her back teeth will clatter!'

If you brainwash the guy who hates you and wants you dead, when he snaps out of it he betrays you? Shocking!
Vash the Stampede would disapprove of your actions, Eito!
That sounds amazing!
...the hilt? Please tell me it's the hilt.

Ahahaha!
Honestly brainwashing him does provide him some justification for betraying you. And is it even betrayal at that point??? Like, did you trust him not to turn on you???
Oh, God, I forgot we were fighting a war! I was so distracted by the potential for stupid ships, and then the invader alarm went off and took me completely by surprise.
Never change.

Apparently! It's incredible how much capacity Takumi has to be surprised when Mr 'I Hate All Humans And Want Them Dead' sabotages the fight for humanity's survival. Again.

I've finished the hundred days of The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and hit the credits!
I thought you were finished, as per 'hit[ting] the credits'. How much of this game is there?

Of the two, I'd recommend 13 Sentinels more strongly, but that would be pretty funny.
