So, John Barrowman (Captain Jack) is not returning for the next series.
THIS MAKES ME A SAD RIONA.
...and what if they get a new companion who isn't Jack? What if that happens and Jack comes back in the 2007 series and thinks that not only did they leave him for dead but they replaced him? What if our lovely OT3 dynamic is gone and he feels betrayed and the Doctor is angry with Jack because he disapproves of resurrection? WHAT IF I COMPLETELY OVERREACT, POSSIBLY IN ALL-CAPS, AND COME UP WITH WILD FEARS THAT ARE ONLY SOMEWHAT POSSIBLE AND THEN LIVE IN A CASTLE BUILT OF DENIAL AND TEARS?
(...what if type a castle metaphor that makes no sense whatsoever?)
But yeah, not happy about this. Not happy at all. I am now going to go off and write a series of fic in which I pair Jack up with every character I've ever written about, and I advise you all to do the same.
In other news: music! Tagged by the unspeakably evil

List ten songs that you're currently digging. It doesn't matter what genre they're from, whether they have words, or even if they're no good. They must be songs that you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the ten songs and their artist(s), and then tag five other people to see what they're listening to.
ICO - Castle in the Mist. I've never actually played the game, but I cannot stop listening to this song. I have no idea why I like it so much.
Kingdom Hearts - Above the Rising Falls (OC Remix). This is an absolutely lovely remix of the Hollow Bastion theme. I will never get tired of it. Also, the left speaker started working while I was listening to it just now after having been broken for months, so it obviously has magical powers.
Chip Skylark - My Shiny Teeth and Me. SHUT UP. SHUT UP A LOT.
What makes me happy?
Fills me up with glee?
Those bones in my jaw that don't have a flaw, my shiny teeth and me!
WHY ARE YOU NOT SHUTTING UP?
Final Fantasy IX - You Are Not Confined (OC Remix). It doesn't do much with the 'You're Not Alone!' tune that it's a remix of, but let's be honest: does it really need to?
Final Fantasy VI - Death on the Snowfield (OC Remix). Okay, words cannot even begin to describe how much I love this song. Just listen to it, for Hyne's sake, it's beautiful. Remix of 'Terra's Theme'.
Chrono Cross - Another World (Remix). I can't for the life of me remember where I got this from, but it's an absolutely fantastic remix of 'Dream Of The Shore Bordering Another World'. WOW MY DESCRIPTIONS ARE SO... DESCRIPTFUL... AND STUFF.
Pokémon - Double Trouble. OH COME ON. BEST THING EVER.
We're Team Rocket, and we fight for what's wrong.
For mayhem, and madness, and rare Pokémon.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - IceCapped (OC Remix). Because I love the Ice Cap Zone music, and I love pretty remixes. Hoorah!
Sonic the Hedgehog - GreenHill Euroclub '95 (OC Remix). NO I DON'T KNOW WHY SHUT UP.
Pokémon - Rest (VGmix). I give up on saying things about these. SO BAD AT THIS.
I'm also listening to 'Is Your Love In Vain?' by Bob Dylan, which is really rather embarrassing to admit.
I DO NOT TAG. HA.
Also, in case you're curious (although I can't imagine why you would be), my AS results: B for English, Maths and German (which is, frankly, unbelievable - I was sure I'd got an E); A for Classics. Not bad. Now, if only I had the slightest clue which university was which.
Finally, if villa agents would let people know that the villa rental has fallen through more than two days before they are due to arrive, the world would be a much happier place. Also, if said agents would pass the money on to the owners five months in advance when the holidaygoers gave it to them, perhaps it wouldn't fall through in the first place.
Gits.

No idea how you pluralise AS, but I got As in English Lit, French and Greek, and Bs in Latin and General Studies. So, I'm just generally being superlatively happy and dancing a lot!

I'm actually planning to take English & Creative writing at uni, and then become a starving writer on the streets of Paris, but I guess you could call me a linguist. I just have a fantastic short-term memory, which helps a lot with the classical languages- seriously, about 65% of the marks come from regurgitating translations and notes that my teachers give me. Also, wow, your friend actually managed that? I am shocked and impressed. And I think English is definitely easier if you have a flair for it, but I'd say your results seem great across the board, so well done!
(also, yay for the overuse of brackets!)
