rionaleonhart: final fantasy x-2: the sun is rising, yuna looks to the future. (brotherly concern)

Also, 'What Is And What Should Never Be' Tore At My Soul.

No matter how heavily I tried to ration my DVDs, I had to run out at some point, alas. I have now watched the first two series of Supernatural, and I just - the Winchesters, you guys. I love them so much. I love that they will do anything for each other. I love that either of them would rather die than see the other dead, no question. I love that they can love each other more than anything else in the world and still argue and fight and call each other names and only allow how much they care about each other to break through to the surface in the most exceptional of exceptional circumstances.

I was going to make a poll asking 'which brother do you prefer as a character?', 'which brother do you find more attractive?' and 'which brother do you most identify with?', but my answers would be 'I DON'T KNOW', 'I DON'T KNOW' and 'OH MY GOD I DON'T KNOW', which seems a little silly.

Oh, hell, I'm making it anyway.

[Poll #1161089]

(Also, I said in an entry a while ago that Sam Winchester needs to kiss people more often. I have now decided that Dean Winchester most definitely needs to hug people more often. Every time he hugs someone, my heart breaks. Every time. And Dean-hugs are much more meaningful than Dean-kisses.)

that should read when DEAN met Buffy *kicks pc*

Dean needs much hugging, yes.

I continue my completely irrational penchant for identifying with characters I have basically nothing in common with.

And psychic twins on the Mew thing!

Also, the more Supernatural I watch, the more I love the Winchesters. Dean needs a million, billion hugs, and Sam alternates between being mildly annoying and OH MY GOD, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

And, while I still don't like the Wincest, I see why it's so popular. They keep getting mistaken for a couple, having weird kiss-looking moments, having far more meaningful relationships with each other than anyone female, and getting into awkward conversations about feelings where they keep breaking off mid-sentence.

I watched the first three episodes of the first season with a few friends about two weeks ago, and every 5 minutes I'd scream "I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH OH MY GOD!"

I love that my friends can deal with that. So I didn't just seem like a crazy person screaming it alone inside my dorm room.

What's odd is that, while I probably have a lot more in common with Sam in terms of how we think, I have more in common with Dean in certain other areas. Like basic physical mannerisms around friends. <_< I'm aware that this is very strange.

I also typoed "Dean" as "Death". Oh, they should meet Discworld Death. The poor boys would be so confused.

I simply cannot choose between the two. Sometimes, I'll try to be completely honest with myself, and think things like: "Dean is hotter." But then my brain screams "BUT OHMYGOD SAM." And: "I like Sam better as a character." But then my brain screams "BUT OHMYGOD DEAN".

I do identify with Sam more, however. I think this problem lies within Sam and Dean's COMPLETE LOVE FOR EACH OTHER. (Erm, in the brotherly way, not the Wincest-y way, just to clarify.) You see, I LOVE Sam because I can identify with him, and Sam LOVES Dean, and therefore I LOVE BOTH OF THEM SO SO MUCH OH WINCHESTERS.

....And then my train of thought melts into fangirly goodness and I can't even explain why or how much I love them. Afjdjafdjf;l.

The first time I watched it, I was all Sam. Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, SAM, OH GOD IMPALA I LOVE YOU HOT HOT HOT IMPALA CAR SEX NAO PLS DROOL HOT IMPALA HOT HOT HOT, Sam, but IMPALA HOT OMG! *explodes* ... Then, perhaps it was the first ep of Season 2 (dead!Dean was hot) or perhaps it was that moment in Season 2 - by the lake when they were drinking beer (sorry I don't know ep names) (was it even beer or did my brain insert that?) you know that moment, i think it's when Dean tells Sam that their Dad's dying words where that he had to look after Sam... anyway, I think that was when I sat up and started paying attention, to Dean in particular. But I still involuntarily yell out "HOT" when the Impala comes on screen. Fuck, that car... I mean, I would so fuck that car. Ahem. *coff* Yes. You heard.

I hope my poll-fic didn't spoil you for anything, no?
