rionaleonhart: kingdom hearts: sora, riku and kairi having a friendly chat. (and they returned home)

My Nobody Would Be Roxani, Or Possibly Rixareth.

You know, Otacon would be sort of delightful as the Doctor's companion. He would be so fascinated by everything. (He would also be terrified, but he would never be able to leave the Doctor, on account of having fallen madly in love with the TARDIS.)

Other possible companions for the Doctor (I've posted on this topic before, of course, but the possibilities are never quite exhausted): Sora, Riku and Kairi. The trio have been planning for years to build a raft and sail away from Destiny Island together. One night, their island is overrun by Heartless and swallowed up by the darkness. Sora, Riku and Kairi are standing back-to-back-to-back on Riku's favourite part of the island, slashing ineffectually at the little shadowy creatures with their wooden swords, and just when all hope seems lost a blue box materialises before them.

Riku doesn't trust the Doctor at all; he's convinced that he is the one responsible for the destruction of their home. Sora trusts him completely, though, and Kairi, despite some initial wariness, seems to like him, so Riku rolls his eyes and steps into the TARDIS. Just to make sure his friends don't get themselves killed.

...hey, wait. This is completely unrelated to the characters-as-the-Doctor's-companion subject, but does Riku have a Nobody? (Kixur? Kirux?) Surely it would make sense. He did have the Heartless symbol on his chest in the first game, so I sort of assumed there was at least a period of being a Heartless. (I was going to say 'a period of Heartlessness', but of course the Heartless aren't heartless. It's the Nobodies that don't have hearts. In fact, Nobodies are just, er, bodies. DEAR KINGDOM HEARTS: YOUR NAMING SYSTEM MAKES PRECISELY NO SENSE.)

OTHER CHARACTERS WHO SHOULD BE THE DOCTOR'S COMPANION: DONNA NOBLE.

YES, SHE IS A CANONICAL COMPANION, BUT SHE SHOULD BE HIS COMPANION ALL THE TIME.

I love you, Donna.

Unrelatedly: yesterday, when I posted my ill-advised Captain John Hart: Team Rocket Agent manip, [livejournal.com profile] dracothelizard asked who his team partner would be.

The obvious answer was 'Suzie Costello'.

They've never met in canon, of course, but I have a feeling that they could make a rather marvellous team. Jack's Houndoom, Gwen's Eevee/Flareon, Ianto's Aerodactyl and Owen's Carvanha had better watch out. (Tosh's Porygon lives in the computer system, so it's probably safe. UNTIL HART AND COSTELLO INFECT THE TORCHWOOD COMPUTER SYSTEM WITH A VIRUS AND IT EVOLVES INTO PORYGON-Z, OH NO.)

On an even less related note: this morning, I received a large envelope in the post.

It contained a High School Musical paper plate and nothing else.

Most perplexing. ([livejournal.com profile] wanttobeatree... [livejournal.com profile] wanttobeatree? Was that you?)

Troy looks like a Hobbit on it and I don't know why.

(Spoilers abound! Augh!)

I think he was just filled with dark power, hence commanding the Heartless. Like Maleficent.

Or you could say,

of course,

these spaces being for spoiler breakage,

that it wasn't really Riku then.

It was Ansem, of course. Or rather Xehanort. Or whatever. And so that Riku did have a Nobody, and the Nobody was Xemnas, because Riku was in the back of his brain the whole time.

I did at one point make Nobody names for all the characters I played in Jaded Eden, just in case. (Quistis's didn't work. Zuko had a very serviceable Kozux. But it was Ollie Queen I was best-pleased with, because working with Oliver, I could create the fantastic Vixorel.)

Sadly, "Patrick" is too loaded with consonants to properly Nobodise. "Kadrin" is pretty much the same.

Kurix and the "Chain of Memories" Riku Replica go on a crazy tour of the Final Fantasy worlds, and end up in a gambling hall with Late-Teenaged Seifer and Reno thoroughly insisting that they have a system. The existence of Reno is a necessity in the Kingdom Hearts world, as after all, Axel is Reno's Nobody.

I had Reaction Commands worked out for them, too; no, wait, I'd stolen existing Reaction Commands. Saionji's Nobody had Duel Stance. Vixorel was basically just Xigbar all over again.

[identity profile] kadrin.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Reno once said that he liked beer so much he was going to legally change his name to "Ale", and the rest is history.

[identity profile] kadrin.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
NAIJIXOS. That was Saionji's Nobody's name. I had forgotten.

It was really the best I could do. I wholly forget what I tried to mash together out of Quisits, though.

[identity profile] wanttobeatree.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
IT WAS I. MWUAHAHAHAHAAA.

(What happened was, [livejournal.com profile] barthi's living room at her new student house had this glass-fronted cabinet containing nothing but a few artfully arranged HSM plates and... well. I saw the way Troy looked and I just knew you had to have one.)

[identity profile] wanttobeatree.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a rather beautiful moment. I took the plate out of the cabinet and discovered Troy's face looked like THAT and that's all she wrote.

And now you understand the strange pride I felt at the way you just KNEW I was the one telling Jensen to suck it. 8D

High School Musical 4: Vacation In Middle Earth?

[identity profile] thrennion.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Sharpay would be an amazing elf.

[identity profile] dracothelizard.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Sharpay and Ryan would be all the Elves. All of them.

[identity profile] justspaz.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
As I was telling non-LJ friends earlier, you cannot survive on LJ without gaining a fair bit of knowledge about Doctor Who, despite never having seen it.

With that in mind, I say: John Dorian, Companion. Y/N? Just think of the sheer joy. Although, Turk would need to go too, and then Carla would not stand for that, so she'd join...Okay, entire staff of Sacred Heart?

[identity profile] justspaz.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure Dr. Cox would end up going along eventually. Perhaps Jordan likes the fact that his 'posse' is no longer around and that she could have a relaxing vacation without Cox? Meh, that means no annoyances at work, except Bob Kelso. Mm.

Haha, is it possible to cling to the TARDIS? Or is it just one of the Janitor's unmatched skills?

[identity profile] dracothelizard.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Seeing as how the Janitor is only known as 'the Janitor', wouldn't he be a long lost Time Lord?

[identity profile] subtle-rift.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Clearly the Janitor would join the crew by offering his janitorial services to the Doctor, who would forever fail to see him as anything but polite and professional, especially once he (accidentally?) fixes the chameleon circuit during his day to day janitoring.

But in all seriousness, YES THE JANITOR NEEDS TO JOIN THE TARDIS CREW. Consider the Janitor vs. the Daleks; they'd be all "Exterminate" and he'd be unfazed and just carry on mopping, then he'd be like "Oh yeah, did you drop this?" and pull out some small but vital Dalek component without which they instantly explode, and right then the Dalek explodes.

[identity profile] subtle-rift.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
*If it wasn't clear, he pulls it out of his pocket, not straight out of the Dalek.

[identity profile] geekgirlofdoom.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
...and now I find myself wanting some John Hart/Suzie Costello fic. Any genre, any relationship, anything. That would be fantastic somehow.

[identity profile] geekgirlofdoom.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
They could take over the world. Torchwood needs a proper constant archenemy; the best they've currently got are Weevils. Who apparently are janitors on the other side of the Rift or something? (Seriously, wtf jumpsuits.)

I really want to see Captain Hart/Suzie Costello in any capacity now, holy crap.

And if we're on the subject of crossfandom companions, I want to nominate the Fighting Agathons from Battlestar Galactica, because the Doctor really needs more kickass married couples in his life who won't stand for his repressed longing. Also because facing the cybermen would be hilariously problematic. I can see it now: "For the last time, Karl, they're not people. Er, no offense, Sharon. You know what I mean! Seriously, stop that. I can't take you anywhere!"

I think I'm going to stop before I accidentally write this.

High School Musical/LoTR crossover: Troy Bolton, Ryan Evans and Tom Bombadil decide to write an ongoing musical about the Fellowship's adventures.
SHUT UP IT WOULD BE AMAZING.

He used to be a Music teacher at East High, but one day he took a left turn at Albuquerque. He shouldn't have taken that left toin.
